We have for you a pressed steel #209 Army Transport Plane/Army Bombing Plane a.k.a. the “Airacuda” manufactured by Wyandotte Toys (All Metal Products Co.) of Wyandotte, Michigan. from 1938 to 1941 in red baked enamel.

The wheels are wooden. The enamel is in super clean condition.

This piece is in great all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch-ups. This piece shows the usual patina, fading, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, missing accessories, and wear that are to be expected from age and play. 1920 – 1956 (Toy production began in 1921).     

Founder: George Stallings and William F. Schmidt    

Specialty: Toy guns, rifles, targets, pressed-steel airplanes, and other motor toys with baked-enamel finish and battery-operated headlights. Biggest year was 1935 with 5 1/2 million dollars in toy guns. Acquired Haffner Trains (1950-1955).
