Our Orange Crane with Rubber tires is original and complete, boxed.  It was likely made around 1955.

Post War Gama toy produced some great toys.  This Crane is a sleek hybrid between tin toys and plastic.  The plastic gave it more durability up top, and the metal chassis gave heft.

The rear turn handle rotates the chassis.  It has a part chipped off.  Then the metal lever on side raises and lowers the boom.  The smaller side handle lifts and lowers the clamshell bucket.

Our example has a battery compartment for lights and switching.  We were not able to get it to work, but note it may be controlled by string positing before lights illuminate.  It also may require a special German battery.  Typical, in a fun way, complicated German toys 🙂
