Vintage Cowboy Toy – Rooting Tooting Modern Toy

Here we have a Rooting Tooting Cowboy  toy from Modern Toys.  Who could have drempt up a more classic American toy?  Well the Japanese of course!

MT or Modern Toys still claims this cowboy with a sticker on the back of the toy’s chaps.  The Japanese windup sports a gold and silver pistol and still the original key.  Unfortunately the mechanism has seized with age, but it may just take a new owner to free it up; we chose to leave it.

Incredibly the box is near new and according to the former owner “Both the toy and box were kept perfect.  My parents and I wanted to keep such a beautiful (and expensive) toy well preserved.”  The provenance is that this toy comes from the man photographed and comes directly to us in incredible condition.
