We have for you a really interesting little Victorian Era quadruple .925 silver plated oval hairpin box from the Adelphi Silver Plate Company of New York, NY USA. The Adelphi Silver Plate Company operated between 1890 and 1915. This box is quadruple plated which means it has 4 times more .925 silver than regular silver plating of the era. It has gold plate accents on the feet and hinge. On the bottom is it marked, “Adelphi Silver Plate Co.”, “Quadruple Plate”, “New York”, and “2L”. Etched on to the front it says, “Harrie” and “A Friend in Need”. It has some pretty scroll work, flower accents, and a hook on the back. It is approximately 4” in length.
