Takatoku Toys Time Bokan Mechabuton

The name may be Greek to you (or Japanese in this case), but the design is supremely artistic and transcends into the art world.  The Japanese revere beetles, especially forms of stag horn beetles like this toy derivative.

Mechabuton is a base vehicle for smaller toys (shown in red plastic).  Its wings open and bullets can fire out of the nose.  The toy projectiles are housed in a 1911 like cartridge.

Box condition is excellent and the catalog with parts are all there.  Our toy has very light play wear as shown with minor sticker rubs and minor paint chips.  Overall, it is a very very rare toy to find for sale.  Most are kept in collections.
