Smith Miller Blue Diamond Hydraulic Toy Truck for Sale *SOLD*

Smith Miller Blue Diamond Hydraulic Toy Truck For Sale

Smith Miller started in the 1950s and was a post-war dream toy for kids.  The brand made toys in California and had a reputation for exacting scale model toys with extremely high quality.  Their toy line consisted of cast aluminum trucks and relied heavily on Mack Truck designs.

Our “Blue Diamond Service” branded hydraulic truck is tops in condition.  The company was manufacturers and producers of building materials.  Thetruck is near new with a bit of tape residue on the wheels, possibly from the original packaging.  Condition of the bed is near new with very very light dots of flakes, indicative of original paintwork.  One white dot of touchup is present on the top of the cab.  The Smith Miller paint tended to lightly flake because of the tough-to-bond-to aluminum chassis.  They didn’t use a primer.

Wheels and grill nickel finish is very good to excellent with some aging on the driver’s door step plate.

Hydraulics work well, and you can use the behind the cab lever to release the dump bed spring.  Its action is smoothed with an oil filled cylinder.

Wheels roll and the dump door properly functions.   They use an aluminum rim with plastic and rubber like tire.  Stickers are in good to excellent condition with very slight flaking on the back of the bed sticker.

It would be challenging to find a better original Smith Miller Blue Diamond.  This one was stored away by an adult collector until purchased from the estate.
