Schuco Radio 4012 Windup Music Player from Germany

Schuco radio car 4012 comes near new in box and wind-up to drive and separately winds up for music.  Instructions are included too.

The red car has an extending antenna and then a switch for the “Radio” aka music box below.  It works and is a variation with song Les Lavandieres du Portugal by Thorens Music (Swiss music box) inside.

Box has one small rip on the front that was colored in with red.  Wheels steer.  Original key included.  Our original brake doesn’t hold well when turned to the side.

Production on the Schuco 4012 Radio started around 1952 and ended around 1964, a relatively short production, which was likely effected by its cost to produce.
