We have for you this very rare wooden NOMA No. 752 Toto: The Balancing Robot in box that was manufactured in the Toronto, Canada factory for the NOMA Electric Corporation/NOMA Toys of New York City, New York.

This simple wooden toy is very unique and balances perfectly on his pedestal. We have not seen an example or a catalog page of this toy let alone with its box. The pedestal shows divots where he has been balancing for a long time. The box is in fair condition.

This piece is in good all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch-ups. This piece shows the usual patina, fading, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, missing accessories, and wear that are to be expected from age and play. These are approximately 8 ½” H. We encourage you to examine the photographs to further determine condition and quality.

A brief history of the NOMA Electric Corporation/NOMA Toys of New York City, New York:

Founder: Joseph Block and Henri, Leon, & Albert V.  Sadacca (TICO Plastics, 1962 acquired the American Pre-School Toy Company)

Specialties:  “NOMA Lights” a line of Christmas lights to include our personal favorite the “bubble lights”. Around the start of World War II NOMA started making wooden, wood composition, metal, and plastic toys. NOMA’s heritage originally goes back to Chicago in 1926, when 15 small manufacturers formed the National Outfit Manufacturer’s Association and started selling NOMA-branded light sets from 1927.

Other names: National Outfit Manufacturer’s Association, or N. O. M. A., and later, simply NOMA. NOMA Lites Inc., NOMA Worldwide Inc., Worldwide Inc., NOMA Corporation. As of 2021, the NOMA brand and rights belong to the Canadian Tire Corporation, Ltd (Canadian Tire). They continue to sell NOMA-branded products in their stores in Canada and online in the U.S. thru their website.
