Marx Tin Lithographed & Glass Buddy Bank & Candy Container *SOLD*

Marx Tin Lithographed & Glass Buddy Bank & Candy Container

Our Buddy bank by Marx was a great marketing idea.  This jar was packed with candy “in the day” and then convinced parents it was in the name of thrift.  It was later a bank; Genius!

The character’s name may be Buddy.  My 89 year old friend also called him “Marxy”.

We just don’t find these on the market too often.  The hand “waves” if you angle it when coins are deposited.  The arm and entire tin is original, but these likely got bent and discarded.  Likewise, the glass is original and many likely broke over the years.

Condition is good used original with wear on the coin opening.
