Marx Big Curve Super Race Set in Box

Enjoy the box graphics on Marx’s Big Curve Super Booster Speedway!  This is a toy that, arguably, has a better box than toy.  Yes, we said it!

The toy is a Hotwheels style toy ca 1970, but behind the curve of the 1968 era Hotwheels sweet 16 toys. Marx tried for the vinyl curve and loop with a booster.  There is a leap/bridge spot too.  Then the toy is a Ford GT racer, but it is a bit on the small side and without the candy paint jobs of Mattel.

This said, our toy is near new old stock.  There are boosters, and curves and proper pieces.  The Ford GT roof has been crushed sown and has a pillar and window crack.  We only see one ramp support in red plastic.  It is unfortunate, but a collector out there may have a replacements; that or one may value the BOX as the prize piece.   The box is near new with slight shelf wear.

We have not seen another boxed toy set like this before.  It came from the Marx family to a New York friend’s family directly.

Founder: Louis Marx

Specialty: Louis Marx and Company was an American toy manufacturer in business from about 1919 to 1980 founded in New York City by Louis & David Marx. Its products were often imprinted with the slogan, “One of the many Marx toys, have you all of them?” Arguably, Marx was the most well-known toy company through the late mid-20th century. Best known for their lithographed tin windup toys Marx was also one of the big four among American electric train manufacturers. Interestingly, Marx also successfully revived the Yo-Yo in 1928; it sold well even through the Depression.
