We have for you a ca. 1950s Hamburg, New York souvenir cast iron singing cowboy bottle opener manufactured by the John Wright Company of Wrightsville, Pennsylvania.

This bottle opener is a Hamburg, New York souvenir possibly for their Erie County Fair which is the second largest fair in New York. It is claimed that the 1885 Erie County Fair or “Hamburg Fair” is the place where food vendors Frank and Charles Menches invented and named the hamburger sandwich that consisted of ground beef, brown sugar, coffee, and other ingredients topped with ketchup and sliced onions.

This piece is in very good all original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch-ups. This piece shows the usual patina, fading, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, missing accessories, and wear that are to be expected from age and play.
