H. Fischer Tin Lithographed Windup Limousine German Toy

This is an incredibly difficult-to-find tin, lithographed, clockwork limousine with driver that was manufactured by Heinrich Fischer of Nuremberg, Germany from 1910 to 1920.

When wound with its dedicated key this working limousine travels forward or whichever way the wheels are set. As with most toys of this age, the clockwork mechanism is a bit weak but when picked up from the table the wheels turn quickly. We did notice that the front grille has been replaced. The rest appears original. 

This piece is in very good condition with no breaks or touch-ups. This piece shows the usual patina, fading, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, missing accessories, and wear that are to be expected from age and play.
