Gunthermann Tin Windup Horse & Cowboy

This early German windup has been attributed to the historic toymaker Guntherman.   The beautiful painted horse has survived very well and the paintwork is strong for the aget.  The cowboy has faired well too, but as expected, there is rubbing and slight scuffing throughout.  It is over 100 years old, so this is expected and many flake, unlike this example.

The windup simply is not strong, so we chose to not keep winding the toy.  Feet barely buck with help, but the spring is worn out and the horse needs to be propped up.

This is a unique chance to own a well preserved Cowboy toy from the early 20th century. Gunthermann toys are difficult to attain in any condition, and hose and cowboy items have been extremely desirable.
