A brief history of Georg Levy (GeLy) of Nuremburg, Germany:
Georg Levy manufactured toys under the GeLy trademark in Nuremberg, Germany from 1920 – 1971. For several years George Levy was partners with Hubert Kienberger (HuKi), they produced automotive toys under the Kienberger name “Kiko” until 1920 when he launched his own firm and began producing toys under the GeLy trademark.
Unfortunately, in 1934 under the Nazi regime Georg was no longer able to work at his own company because he was of Jewish decent. Eventually, GeLy was acquired by Karl Ochs and the name was changed to “Nuremberg Tin Toy Factory”.
