Fada Art Deco Radio #711 *SOLD*

Fada Art Deco Radio for sale

Our understanding is that this butterscotch and white beauty is #711 and harkens from the iconic art deco radio maker Fada.  It us an unusual offering from AntiqueToys.com, yet still a big boy’s toy.

The polished deco goodness does not appear to have any case cracks and works well with its cloth covered speaker.  The dial is likely original and has one crack in it.  Two other collectors tell us that this is a mark of originality and most all now sport replacement dials which are relatively easy to source.  Ours is being offered from an estate as-found.

The history of Fada radios. Frank Angelo D’Andrea (born 1888, Bronx, NY) was the creator of FADARadios. He learned about the construction of radios working at the Frederick Pierce Co., a company that did experimental work for inventors.
