Ernst Plank Antique Vulkan Brass Train *SOLD*
Ernst Plank Antique Vulkan Brass Train For Sale
There is a gravitas to holding this amazing brass steam engine. Â It has lost parts, it has wrinkles, it is darkened, but it is also a 120-130 year old antique! Â This primitive steam engine was named “Vulkan”
The E.P. badge affixed in the front stands for the scientific toy and instrument maker Ernst Plank. Â The toys and products made by this 19th century (and early 20th) are highly sought after. Â They give a decorator heart palpitations due to their original steam-punk style. Â Scientists and Engineers prize their construction quality. Â Toy Collectors appreciate the E.P. detail and lust over older catalogs.
Our train’s pistons have compression. Â The spirit burners are no longer present, but the tank is there and held by two clips. Â The chimney needs to be straightened. Â The whistle is present with its crude form.
The rear platform is hand painted dark green and made of tin. Â The rail has a darker blue black hue. Â The burner and lower platform has the dark green.
