This toy is a keeper!  Distler toys of Germany is known for quality and stout windup toys.  Here we have a superior condition BMW windup and it is a pre-war or just post-war toy that looks new!

BMW cars have always been a personal favorite and this one fits the mold of superb styling and great artistic lines.  The windup itself is a strong clockwork motor that can either be held in place (idol while the motor is running), or a user can go forward in different gears or reverse.  Distler chose to even make a parking brake so that the kid could windup the car easily.

Tires, paint, stickers, and interior are all beautiful as shown.  Even the underside has a bright silvered surface.
