Champion Hardware Co. Red Cast Iron Tow Truck 8.5″

This red cast iron  tow truck was manufactured by Champion Hardware Co. of Geneva, Ohio.  

The original white rubber tires are still intact in great condition, but as per usual with toys of this age they have petrified, warped and/or cracked. These are in great shape. The tow truck has its original glossy red paint, a nice tow hook, and proper blue rims.

This piece is in original condition with no breaks, restorations, repairs, or touch-ups. This piece shows the usual patina, fading, dust, chips, scuffs, surface rust, scratches, and wear that are to be expected from age and play and is sold as is. This is approximately 8 ½” L. Champion Hardware Company was founded in 1883 in Geneva, Ohio by John and Ezra Hasenpflug. The company ran until 1954, but only produced toys from 1930 to 1936.
