Cass Toys Wood Vintage Train Set for Sale

Enjoy this extremely rare survivor- a Cass wood train engine set.  The toy is circa 1940 with a great play feel.

The toy is large, over 3 feet, and comes with original wood connectors as well as a pull cord.

Condition is all original with light play wear.

A brief history of Cass Toys/N.D. Cass Company of Athol, Massachusetts: 

1898 – 2003

In their many years of business, they manufactured a wide range of products from large pianos and drums to a popular wooden toy line called “The Funny Face Family” of toys. In 1950, N.D. Cass Co purchased the Fred Langfelder Corporation of New Jersey taking N. D. Cass into manufacturing children’s pianos. In their later years, they specialized in chalkboards and children’s furniture. On May 16th, 1996, their warehouse burned to the ground. The blaze was so large that people had to be evacuated from their homes. Most of Cass’ toys are trucks and automobiles, but they did produce a few pull toys.”
