Buddy L Truck Buddy L Jr Oil Tanker *SOLD*
Buddy L Truck For Sale- Buddy L Jr Original Tanker For Sale
To start- We have an original new-to-market Buddy L Jr Pressed Steel Tanker truck for sale. Â It has its oft-rusted tank in great condition. Â It has its original spigot on the back and the oft-lost twin tank caps present. Â All doors work and the license plate, 96834, with headlights in front are present. Â It has some shoe polish to darken corrosion spots on the hood and fenders.
To back up though– These Jr toys rusted. Â Their paint peeled. Â The Jr line of trucks unfortunately had thinner sprayed on paint post-depression for Buddy L to stay float. Â These almost always have spidering and paint issues. Â This one is original and unrestored. Â We emphasize this because we have seen countless ones with sanded and repainted fenders, hoods, roofs, Â and other body areas. Â Our toy is a barn find and untouched.
Part of the front Buddy L sticker is present on the grill. Â Remanants of the stickers are present on the green tank, but not much. Â There is a remnant of sticker inside touting the Buddy L name and Moline location.
The green tank is all original as stated with a rippling to the green or varnish, a completely original trait. Â The red frame and undercarriage similarly have a wrinkling to the paint and aging completely inline with the 90 year old toy’s aging process. Â The entire look is a beautiful set of imperfections and a patina.
Rubber tires have spidering and cracking but are all there and unrestored. Â They look good, but have aging. Â They also reflect the Firestone brand name and are quite detailed with lettering.
