Gebbruder Bing Windup Race Boat German Tin Toy for Sale *SOLD*

Gebbruder Bing Windup Race Boat German Tin Toy for Sale

This Bing toy is a very early, around 1915, Bing toy boat that was hand made of tin and brushed on paint.  It is a survivor with original finish and with an added figure and flags.

The windup fully operates and is strong.  Then the form is art, you will notice that there are multiple oval portholes and a sleek shape that hides its over 20″ inches of length, long for a speedboat and likely the biggest.

There are subtile paint colorations, but the hull is gray with gold piping on the deck edge.  Then the porthole strips are a very soft yellow.  The upper cabin is painted in white and then waterline piping is done in black.  Our added sailor is in a navy blue which helps pop and the French and red and white flags add more gloss.  Even more interesting is the extra coloration added to the cabin and helm area– Yellow and Red!

Once we sell this boat, we feel we will never see another one again in this condition.
