Arcade Cast Iron Mack Fuel Truck – Richfield For Sale

This cast iron is an original Mack truck from Arcade Toys of Freeport, IL.  It is a fuel truck and in a desirable blue with steel wheels.

Our one is a one of a kind private label for Richfield and restored by expert Tom Sehloff.  He decided to restore the no-crack truck into a Richfield fuel truck.

The driver is nickel plated per the norm for Arcade Toys.  The rear has a spark/static arrestor chain like the real truck.  Then the truck’s rear axle has a set of dual tires.

He aged the toy with chipping and some rust and dust so that it fits in perfectly with an antique toy collection.

Much of the proceeds will go to Tom and help, hopefully, with future projects.  If you aren’t familiar with Tom Sehloff toys and custom cast iron work, it is worth a bit of research.  His work is top notch if not some of the best in the world.

A brief history of Arcade Manufacturing Company of Freeport, Illinois:

The Arcade Manufacturing Company of Freeport, Illinois was originally founded as Novelty Iron Works by Edward H. and Charles Morgan in 1868, and conducted business in two small buildings with a staff of ten people.

The company operated between the years 1868 to 1946. They began making toys and coffee mills and then moved to a new site in 1893 (after fires, financial issues, and changing their name from Novelty Iron Works).

Arcade toy catalogs appear to start at 1902 and as late as 1939. Arcade`s toy line included over 300 toy items. Yellow Cab was their first successful toy followed by Andy Gump in 348 and Chester Gump in His Pony Cart. Arcade also made toy banks, doll house furniture, and cast-iron penny toys.
