Admiral Dewey Battleship Toy For Sale by Bliss

Our Dewey battleship is an incredibly large battleship by Bliss toys. R Bliss toys were from Pawtucket, RI.

Length stands at 20″ and height close to 15″.

Our ship has original turrets and hull, likely original masts and crows nest.  The guns and smokestacks are possible replacements.   Condition is very good but with some fade and superb graphics.  -Some scratches and wear throughout.

Admiral George Dewey was known for taking the helm of the USS Mississippi, a Union ship and lynchpin in the successful drive of the union towards New Orleans.  He was also a wartime hero for the Battle of Manilla bay in 1898.

We greatly appreciate the artwork on the eagles as well as sailors and waterline.  It is amazing a toy like this has survived for 120 years.
