Recording Jeep and Airport Jeep Friction Toys from Japan *SOLD*
Recording Jeep and Airport Jeep Friction toys from Japan
Fresh from our toy shows, we get to showcase some great and classic Japanese Jeeps. Â Our tin jeeps are friction and have great actions when rolling– The International Airport Jeep has a waving hand driver that “leads” planes down the runway. Â Then our Reel to Reel recorder Jeep must tackle imagination more than reality. Â It is a semi-military jeep that just looks cool with moving reels on the back.
Condition on both toys is very good to excellent. Â The front wheels on the Airport jeep at first appear loose, but likely cant to the side for sudden turns; the fifth wheel underneath pops down at times for erratic turns. Â Light scratching as shown on both from light play wear.
Japan has always been known for imaginative and colorful tin lithography. Â Each of these designs are classic and sure to appreciate in time. Â Their actions are less common, likely from the 1950’s, and the colors are eye popping on a display.
