Buddy L Hydraulic Pressed Steel Truck 201A *SOLD*
Buddy L Hydraulic Pressed Steel Truck For Sale 201A
Our all original Buddy L 201A is a prize. This appears to be a stored away, relatively unplayed with toy (who the heck can resist?). Condition of the red frame is very good to excellent with some darkening on top, as expected with dust and oxidation (showing it is original). The Black body has some spidering and thinning at panel edges, smaller paint flakes, and oxidation of the wheels. Again, this is completely normal for these 90 year old toys. It shows it wasn’t restored and is a badge of originality.
Wheels roll as expected. The hydraulic lever and piston work perfectly. The original tailgate is all there and works as expected. Original spun aluminum wheels are in excellent condition. Red baked on enamel hubs show some thinning and a few spots where the paint has flaked. Silver parts show expected oxidation from age, but still look relatively bright.
This is a treasure and in extremely good to excellent original shape. It is in the top 5% of what we have seen; we see better, but they tend to have light restorations, this is the way Buddy L made it at the factory.
